Sitting before a parliamentary committee, NBN CEO Bill Morrow admits to the "poor customer experience" of HFC connected NBN users. Rod Sims, chairman of the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, which took Bet365 to court, said the offer was aimed at enticing new customers into what the judge called a "web of deception".

The parent company Shared Services earned revenue of GBP 932 million in the year ending March 2014. By submitting your email you are agreeing to Fairfax Media's terms and conditions and privacy policy. The "free bets" offer was also attached with other unfair conditions, which included that consumers had to be eligible by first gambling three times the value of their deposit and bonus within 90 days before withdrawing any winnings and had to bet on higher risk transactions.

Justice Beach said Bet365 had 73,000 active customers at the time of the breach, with a "significant proportion" affected by the false promotion. The free bet claims came to the attention of the ACCC as part of its sweep of "free" representations on the internet.

Mr Sims said while the ACCC only launched legal proceedings against one company - Bet365 - it found other examples of misleading and deceptive behaviour. We're now writing to everybody saying: 'Look, it's clear you can't do this'," he said.

The court found that the conduct was serious, extensive in its duration and affected a large number of Australian consumers. We had the BEST time, and Maria did an all around FABULOUS job.

All the hotels were very nice, clean, comfortable and had lovely views!. I appreciated that all hotels had a tea kettle in the room to make hot water, and nice hair dryers. We really enjoyed the book that you put together for our trip with suggested sites.

It was very helpful. If it only came with a time management button it would be incredible, haha. We totally missed the sights in Inverness because we spent too much time at a castle and then things were closed. Maybe including hours of sites would be helpful. We did get better as we went. The North Link ferry was so fun. This was a wonderful experience, with a restaurant, observation decks, a store, comfy chairs.

We found great restaurants (Rollo and the Smoo Cave Hotel restaurant come to mind as delicious.

As far as driving, it was fine and nice to be on our schedule. The single track roads in the highlands worked out fine. We drove 1,235 miles, saw wonderful sites, hiked amazing places, took thousands of pics and couldn't be more thrilled with everything that Nordic Visitor planned and prepared for us.

We have several people that were interested in our opinion after our trip, and we will certainly be giving Nordic Visitor a fabulous endorsement, and Maria of course. Thank you so much for an unforgettable epic trip. We had a very nice time. Being able to travel by rail and ship rather than coach was a real plus. I (John) had been in Sweden and Denmark before, but not since 1960. Lea had never been to Scandinavia. We both wound up with Norway as our favorite country on the trip.

The scenery was magnificent, especially from the windows of trains and express boat. The setting of Flam was a pleasant surprise, if not the village itself.

We visited some wonderful places. Whilst we like to be independent, the organisation of our transport and accommodation was very good and allowed us to really relax and unwind. Stats Life Statistics in Action Blog A World Without Statistics Around the World in Statistics ASA Statistical Significance Series The World of Statistics Flyer The World of Statistics Video Statistics as a Career At Work With Statisticians What Fields Employ Statisticians.

This article may help you understand the concept of statistical significance and the meaning of the numbers produced by The Survey System. This article is presented in two parts. The second part provides more technical readers with a fuller discussion of the exact meaning of statistical significance numbers.

In normal English, "significant" means important, while in Statistics "significant" means probably true (not due to chance). A research finding may be true without being important. When statisticians say a result is "highly significant" they mean it is very probably true.

They do not (necessarily) mean it is highly important. Take a look at the table below. We want to know if people from different areas or who drive different types of vehicles give different answers to the question. We see some differences, but want to know if those differences are likely due to chance, because of the particular people we happened to interview, or whether the differences seen here likely reflect real differences in the entire population of people represented by our sample.

To answer this question we used a statistic called chi (pronounced kie like pie) square shown at the bottom of the table in two rows of numbers.Remarkable competence in a travel organization. She was an absolute delight. She was very well organized and everything went off without a hitch!. All the hotels were very nice and clean. The breakfast buffets in every hotel was amazing. After 4 days of rest I felt a little better and wanted to have at least the last couple days to see more of this beautiful country. So we called Hafdis and she arranged an overnight in the North West.

We are a senior couple in mid 60's and good health. But sometimes, things happen that we never expected. We are so grateful that Nordic Visitor was there for us, a support system where otherwise we had none.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts Nordic Visitor and Hafdis. We will return someday. Spent 7 days 6 night in Iceland and our trip was organized by Nordic Visitor Tours. Everything was so well done we truly feel that we would've missed some of the most beautiful vistas having not had an itinerary from this group.

All of the accommodations were fabulous and the recommendations for sightseeing were perfect. We loved everything about it and plan on using Nordic Visitor Tours again. All lodging and transportation worked perfectly. I especially liked the daily itinerary with suggested points of interest. WE are widely travelled and this tour is a highlight.

Kolbrun was prompt in her replies to our sometimes trivial questions. There were no omissions to the detailed information and it was provided in an organised format.

This holiday certainly had the WOW factor. Our travel councillor Kolbrun is very good. Any question I have, she always tried her best to answer.

When I told her about my walking condition she booked hotels close to stations or the ship we needed to do. She made our trip smooth and enjoyable. It was first time using a self directed trip, and we were a little worried about the connections, but in fact it was very easy and smooth.

Everything was wonderful, you more than met our expectations. The quality of the rooms and hotels was excellent, the locations were perfect. Sofia was an outstanding person to work with. She managed everything, assisted us in getting a visa issued and when there was one small glitch, promptly arranged for a refund for that portion of the tour. If I book another tour, I will not hesitate to request her again. I couldn't be happier. Oh yeah, Scandinavia is pretty cool too.

We both felt the whole package was really well organised and structured. The road map was well marked with things of interest and the Iceland Road Guide was an excellent source book.

Solveig was so helpful and arranged everything so I could just enjoy being on holiday with my sons. And the weather was amazing too which helped. I was extremely happy with the entire experience. The tour was very well organised. We didn't have any problems with any aspect of the booking of the trip. Contact from Nordic Visitor employees was polite, helpful and responses were sent quickly. We'll definitely return to Iceland and would use Nordic Visitor again. Really excellent holiday, thank you. We only booked a few days in advance and received excellent speedy service.

Genuinely - one of the best trips we have ever undertaken. We received a great welcome in Kiruna, our guides were excellent - and made every experience unforgettable. My adult son and I decided to go on a rather last minute trip to Iceland.

An internet search led me, amongst others, to Nordic Visitor and was reassured to see they had achieved a Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence in 2014 which was an incentive to feel confident in the quality of the trip and ultimately was the Company I chose to go with. I booked a four day, three night Northern Lights, Super Jeep Safari for myself and my son which we took in early February. We chose Quality over Comfort for our hotel and were not disappointed as Hotel Borg was just superb as well as being centrally situated and therefore everything was on our doorstep in downtown Reykjavik.

From the moment we arrived and got in the waiting taxi at the airport until the end of the holiday when we were collected at the Hotel Borg to be delivered back to the airport, the holiday was one to remember.

In such a beautiful country, with fast changing weather, excellent people, fun and interesting places to go to, fabulous knowledgeable guides on the tours (particularly Halldron of Amazing Tours who was brilliant) and delicious food, I shall not forget these few days.
